Checkmate [Poem]

Our openings opposed

my movements wooden

your responses swift

Shall we dance?

A dance denied

my forces regroup

A final Gambit

Shall we dance?

A dance accepted

so quickly ending

hands re-arranging

king and queen aligned

and in your smile

an inevitable repetition
