A Morning Visitor [Poem]

gold-glorious
the sun oversteps
the horizon’s threshold

pausing to remove
rainbow-hued shoes
in the morning’s brown-golden foyer

before, barefoot,
joining me in the golden-yellow kitchen
to share a quiet breakfast
